I strongly encourage to set up weekly catch-ups with clear and open communication. Empower the Leadership Team members to the upcoming change process and let them contribute. Lead by your own example why the change is needed.

Open, honest, and regular communication is crucial. Gaining your team's support is much easier when they know you’re being transparent and that they can trust you. Have a clear plan and stick to it, as team members can quickly spot inconsistencies, which can create uncertainty. Follow through on what you’ve promised, and if something changes, make sure to update them promptly.

5 min. daily stand-ups. Require each area to have 2 individuals who may attend the stand-up, one of which is required. Both individuals are expected to be able to provide feedback to the group on their functional areas and to report back to their respective group. If an area(s) is not providing clear reports, require a kanban board from that area.

The most critical piece when management is changing within the organization is to be truly transparent. Communicating clear and concise information while addressing the team, do not mislead or try to soften the impacts, the more transparent you are with the changes the better the team will accept them. If difficult questions arise take them on and answer truthfully.

Executive teams must understand the impact of not meeting established and agreed to goals and objectives. That will require periodic update meetings (weekly, monthly, bi-monthly). In addition, when the executive team member is struggling, they need to express that and allow feedback from the team as to how exactly they can get on track. Transparency goes both ways.

Change is a constant. Being open and transparent, acknowledging the uncertainty and sharing facts about rationale for changes, and impacts is helpful. Speculation, gossip and rumours are destructive. I held virtual Ask-Me-Anything sessions monthly, where the entire team attended and I shared what we knew. Regular 1:1s with my directs and skip-level meetings with others helped address individual concerns. By eliminating FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt), allowed the teams to focus on their work. This gave them purpose and a sense of achievement. After all, customer needs still had to be met.

Aktuelle Tools und deren Training sind elementar, um im Change auch neue Erkenntnisse ueber die Performance des neuen Weges zu erhalten. Dabei gilt das Prinzip: das Bessere erstzt das Gute, man muss sich eben auch von lieb gewonnenen Tools trennen, sonst steigt der Merfachaufwand in der Nutzung bzw. bilden sich Tool-Gruppen anhand von Gewohnheiten, die sich nur mit Doppel-Nutzung vernetzen lassen oder wo die Ablagen nicht mehr klar sind.
