Transparency and clear roadmaps to change are extremely critical in my experience. Fear of job less is usually based off internal skill gap fears by the individual(s). Providing new skill acquisition channels to prepare the team for the new ERP state would allay fears of many and get them engaged to push forward with the automation. Teams are generally engaged when they have a feeling of being a stakeholder/shareholder in the transformation (automation) program.
