If they are questioning, and they are your team member, you have done wrongs any many stages to not involve them completely and through the process of *forming, *storming, *norming * performing. However, the process of performing these steps as a leader is only fulfilled when the leader is able to recognize the difference between Knowledge transfer and Internalization.

Give them a wider perspective on the decision taken. Sometimes, team members are so focused on delivering incremental pieces of project, often very specialised in nature, that they find it difficult to see all other perspectives. Explain as transparently as possible the decision making rationale along with associated risk mitigation strategies if, indeed, it turns out that decision was not optimal. Even better, involve them in devising a plan B.

Truly consider their concerns and also ask for their solutions here. While uncomfortable in the moment, not have any discent is actually unhealthy and just group think. You can record the concern, even if you don't act on it, as one of your project deliverables and documentation artifacts.

While reinforcing vision is crucial, be wary of repeatedly emphasizing the big picture as it might inadvertently make your team member feel their concerns are being dismissed.
