I have to demonstrate and build confidence in the team that the change is for the benefit and future growth. I will involve the entire team and ensure they imbibe and own the vision.

One of our strengths is the implementation of innovation which is a way of saying that we help companies through change. It is so tough! That said, it can be a healthy experience and lead to some of the greatest levels of success in a person and companies life. For it to work, the key leaders must embrace change and, this is biggest challenge, they need to be able to let go of employees that fight change. To guide my team through resistance to a major change, I’d start by openly communicating the reasons behind the change, its benefits, and its impact on both the organization and the team. I’d create a safe space for them to express their concerns and provide feedback, actively listening to understand their perspectives. By involving them in the change process and highlighting their roles in shaping the outcome, I’d foster a sense of ownership and commitment. I’d offer support through training, resources, and regular check-ins to address any challenges, building trust and confidence in our ability to navigate the change successfully together.

Being inclusive and sensitive to others views and opinions certainly bring new perspective and understanding. It also paves the way for greater engagement in a non threatening environment where people feel their opinion matters. Some reasonable time should be provisioned for managing change. A softer, but more sharper focus is also required to help all stakeholder come aboard and settle down before gears can be change..
