Debes de aprender de los mejores, es importante que tengas la habilidad de reconocer lo que realmente es Lean y lo que no, también es importante que no solo aprendas el Sistema de Producción pero también el Sistema de Gestión. Este último pocas personas tienen la capacidad de entenderla y de ejecutarla. También creo debes de ser como un buen doctor, debes conocer de todo, para poder desarrollar con mayor precisión la receta correcta apara cada situación. Por último es importante contar con una buen fundamentación teórica y con una buena experiencia en la ejecución. Por cierto, no todas la empresas están dispuestas a lograr ser Lean aunque así lo epresen... El mayor de los éxitos!

This is the most important leg in the stool for a continuous improvement professional. While there can be an academic component to Lean Manufacturing, at its core it is all about practical application. This is not to say that theoretical understanding and historical context are not important, they absolutely are, but I would argue that learning of theory should represent 25% of your effort in Lean, the remaining 75% should be getting hands on experience applying theory to practical scenarios to both prove the value and learn best application practices. This will make you not only better at executing lean; it will also make you a better teacher and enable you to build a culture of it (which is where the true value is!).
