It is very important to note that any challenge if not taken care early makes us or the system vulnerable and hence turns into a threat. But same challenge, depending on situation and our own response specifically to that situation can be turned into an opportunity. We always have to have this mind set and deal with our challenges. Suppose as an HR if I see TA as a challenge and invite various external agencies to help me, i have a threat of such dependency on them, that if any exits I am in trouble. Similarly if I see TA challenge as an opportunity to gradually build my own brand while initially external agencies work, I grow organic. Next time an opening comes, profiles flow naturally to me.

If, during an interview, a candidate is asked about his/her biggest challenge,the answer should be very realistic, since everyone has weaknesses. Avoid answers such as 'I don't know' or 'I am not able to think of a challenge'. However, use the 'sandwich technique' (positive-negative-positive): Mention your challenge, address it in a positive way, stating the steps you apply to overcome it and the end result.

One challenge I faced as an HR professional was resolving a conflict between two team members. By actively listening, mediating, and fostering collaboration, we reached a resolution that restored harmony within the team. From this experience, I learned the importance of impartiality, patience, and communication in conflict resolution. Además, demuestras una disposición hacia salir de tu zona de confort, lo cual es beneficioso para descubrir cómo te organizas frente a nuevos retos, identificar áreas de mejora y descubrir habilidades que desconocías. Los desafíos también son oportunidades para recabar retroalimentación y reconocimiento.

Formular preguntas sirve descubrir más allá de las expectativas que tienen sobre ti en cuanto a cómo enfrentar los desafíos. Por ello, es crucial plantear preguntas tanto a tu manager como al líder del proyecto. Todos tenemos expectativas, por lo que resulta esencial para comprender qué esperan de ti, cómo prefieren que realices el seguimiento y otros aspectos relevantes.
