I am not a Reservoir engineer(RE) but as a Petrophysicist I work closely with reservoir engineers as part of a broader subsurface team and I'd say of all the options listed the RE is probably the one that someone with an exploration background would find most fascinating and probably excel the most in, I think so because simply put the reservoir engineer alongside the Petrophysicist and the Production engineer continue the process that was started by the exploration team i.e the exploration team analyses a lot of large scale data including seismic that identifies the presence of hydrocarbons,while the RE is at the centre of the team that quantifies how much of the hydrocarbon that was identified by the exploration team is producible

I would prefer Directional drilling engineer to be. And, the reason behind that is, it is the field which will be very helpful in the future as many places are there we cannot reach with the vertical drilling and horizontal drilling only, directional drilling will provide us the true direction to get oil and gas from those places.
