I used to lean towards new features, but now I am more concerned with making sure current features are robust and stable. I now think that if the current features aren’t robust, then why would I trust new features.

Um código bem estruturado, atualizado, bem comentado, com boa performance, com excelente aplicação de testes unitários e documentação técnica completa e didática, é a base do sucesso. Manter uma equipe de desenvolvimento firme em um projeto sólido, exige padrão e intimidade coletiva com o código fonte, a praticidade e intuitividade na análise de manutenção é crucial para um produto estável. Nada de empolgação irracional com o novo, a inovação deve entrar apenas quando o excelente não é mais suficiente, assim o ciclo da excelência se renova.

Prioritisation is the key to achieve the deliverables within SLA but we have to be vigilant of below factors- 1. Value addition 2. Stability 3. Innovation

Tech Debt is always challenging but we have to understand the limitations and client's priorities. We have to break down the features in a way to cover the technical debt in back to back sprints as critical tasks. So that in the long run (post multiple deployments) we will be able to build on top of them (fix the tech debt) or will get a work around.
