I would stay calm and see it as an opportunity to address their concerns. First, I’d listen carefully to what they’re questioning and make sure I understand their point of view. I’d confidently explain my experience or knowledge in that area, using real examples or facts if possible. I believe handling it with respect and professionalism helps build trust and keeps the session positive.

During a Six Sigma workshop, a participant openly questioned my ability to simplify complex concepts. Instead of taking offense, I thanked them for highlighting the need for clarity. I revisited the topic using a relatable example: streamlining a coffee shop’s order process to minimize delays. Using visuals and hands-on activities, I demonstrated how Six Sigma principles applied to their context. By the end, not only did the participant grasp the concept, but they also implemented similar changes in their team’s operations, boosting productivity by 15%. This moment reinforced the value of patience and turning challenges into impactful learning opportunities.
