All they want is what’s best for their child… they probably are unaware of the various methodologies out there as YOU are the one from the education field, not them. In sports teaching there are many students who take part in competition games, races or even olympic games. When one of my student wins a medal that tells a lot and such results can any criticism stop.

Celebrations of learning are a great way to show parents what is happening in the classroom. A morning or afternoon open house to watch the children share their learning is a big step in having the parents buy into your program.

Engage them with their area of expertise. Invite them to be a teacher for a day. Include them in the school's core committee. Keep them in taking crucial decisions. Make the co- partners in learning.

I have worked in both ends of the spectrum in terms of schools really involving parents in all features of the school compared to schools that only allow parents to engage in parent meetings. After many years, I can comfortably say allowing parents to be part of their child's learning journey in as many aspects as possible has significant benefits. For example, children learn more, children further engage in lessons, homework and extra curricular activities. Parents tend to increase their support in any behavioral issues or incidents. Parents understand how difficult it is for teachers to manage a class. Having engaging parents has improved my teaching and professional conduct too as you naturally build close relationship with them

In the recent past most schools now have in their schedule days set aside for parents to come in to school and they start by going through their wards notes and see first hand their performances thereafter they sit in class to watch the teachers take their classes . Some go as far as even having grandparents days . Some also ask that parents take a class during the term or take a reading or Literature classes that involvement sure build some trust

As a result, it has become increasingly challenging for teachers to demonstrate the immense dedication and effort they invest in their students' success. To bridge this gap following strategies can be highly effective: 1. Establishing clear and regular communication between teachers, students, and parents to build trust and mutual understanding. 2.Offering tailored support to help them thrive. 3. Empowering students to take ownership of their learning. 4. Focusing more on character building, leadership skills.

If a parent has a concern about your teaching, encourage them to come into the classroom. They can either just observe or if comfortable, can become part f your day. Parent volunteers are often your best allies if problems arise.

As an early childhood teacher, I often had parents come for kindergarten orientation evening worried their students were going to be bored. I always welcomed this dialogue. I knew my program was open ended and a bored child should not exist unless that child was not motivated to learn. I asked parents to let me know right away if their child was bored. It gave me the opportunity to challenge these kids to push themselves to become self motivated responsible learners. This enables them to grasp the love of learning.

Never been in that situation before; because I researched the topic before I go into the classroom. That’s part of planning. I acknowledge that learners can do so equally if you introduce the subject before you actually start the topic also if they are interested in the subject matter.

In my online teaching experience, there was once a parent who was upset about me asking questions about the process their child used, to arrive at a solution. Once the parent expressed it, I was able to share my underlying motive to understand the learner's process. Another learner was skipping the process and banking on rote memorization and I was trying to avoid that for all the learners in the class. Once we spoke of it, and there was a dialogue, it dispelled the doubts in the parents' minds and helped me become a better educator.

I have found it helpful to have a conversation with the parents. Trying to determine if there is something about their child you were unaware of. Different learning styles could be the root of the problem. Offering to work one on one with the child could be helpful to find a way to reach them.

I cannot express how important open/ honest dialogue is with parents. Listening to their concerns is so important. Making them part of the plan going forward so they are aware of what changes are implemented. A heard parent is a happy parent.

All of these responses forget 1 major factor, some parents will complain about anything a teacher or school does. Whether they have external pressures or stress - they might take it out on their child’s teacher. If a parent questions your approach as a teacher - acknowledge their feeling and refer it your line manager. It is not your job to convince anyone. If what you are doing is in line with school policy, school management should support you regardless

Creo que una combinación de todas esas ideas es lo ideal, claro que cuesta mucho más esfuerzo e implicación por parte del profesorado y de las familias las cuales a veces no disponen del tiempo suficiente para asistir a dichas reuniones y talleres a los cuales son invitados a participar por parte del tutor de su hijo y esto se complica aún más cuando en lugar de un hijo se tienen dos o tres, pero como yo siempre pienso el querer es poder.
