Finally, I create opportunities for team members to lead discussions or presentations on data topics, empowering them to share knowledge and build confidence.

You don’t have to be a data scientist to acquire data literacy specific to your job! Enable your team 3 ways: 1. Fancy ≠ most useful. Select analytics tools the team will most likely USE. (Think of how many times employees abandon a robust tool in favor of simple spreadsheet/table because they’re easier to use/learn). 2. Provide custom training so the use cases are directly relevant to the team’s data work: interpret, collect, buy, sell, analyze, or present? Alternatively there’re SO MANY online courses to choose from to fill the gap between the team's current data skills vs. where they should be for their job. 3. Validate not intimidate! Regularly communicate business needs/value using data STORIES + ethical implications. Be a role model!
