During a project to implement a new financial reporting system, I faced conflicting goals from different stakeholders. To fully understand each viewpoint, I organized workshops where stakeholders could openly discuss their priorities. This helped me grasp the finance team's need for detailed analytics, IT's focus on system integration, and senior management's concerns about cost and timelines. By actively listening, I gained a clear understanding of each group's underlying motivations, which was crucial for moving forward.
