Also, it is vital to have a platform (or a board) where everyone can see both the team and personal objectives, along with the deadlines for achieving these goals.

Learning from others is, in fact, the key to advancement and strengthening our technical abilities. As a geologist, you must gain at least a basic understanding of topics and their applications. Knowledge sharing makes this possible.

Pienso que el aprendizaje es infinito, el cual es a diario uy a cada instante, se aprende de todos, no solo de lo colegas de geología, también del personal de apoyo o de otros áreas que trabajen conjuntamente, creo que escuchar y dejar que te muestren las ideas o criterios que tienen las demás personas es importante, tanto de personas mayores como jóvenes, en general es un intercambio de conocimientos.

When working on a geological problem, one thing to do is to list the questions you have. Make sure to split knowledge into facts and assumptions. For facts, make sure you document them, for example in a presentation format. Not just as texts (opinion) but as images to show where the facts are from. For the assumptions, check the assumptions. This is the first set of questions to answer, is my/our assumption correct or should this be investigated further? After having listed what you know, see what you need to know to be able to work on the solution. The solution may be in your head. However, to be able to work it further, you may need models or numbers. That is where the hard part comes in, and where the work is. Then go do it!

I think being flexible is key in geology since the area is unpredectible. I've learned to adapt and change my plans when needed. It's about staying open-minded and helping out my teammates when they need it. Being flexible has helped me handle tough situations and find new opportunities.

Parte de ser flexible, creo que involucra el poder adaptarse a cualquier cambio inesperado en los planes y nuevas metodologías de trabajo, aunque esto involucre volver a realizar un trabajo, y saber manejarlos sin frustración es importante, creo que también el apoyo entre compañeros es muy importante para poder sacar adelante las tareas que se deben realizar, si cada parte del equipo esta bien, entonces se podrá realizar el trabajo completo.

Remember that most people you will be working with, if not a solely a geological team, do not have the expertise or base of knowledge that you have, and sometimes communication can break down. Simplifying concepts and using less jargon to convey initial findings before delving into the details can help colleagues and clients understand more clearly and feel more secure on your findings.

Strong communication skill is a superpower, especially in the area of highly complicated subjects that consist of large and different type of data and information. As a geologist, this is a necessity. The ability to communicate effectively, on top of your sound technical skills, will bring you far in your career.

Effective communication by the way of informative illustrations, high quality maps and sections along with flawless write-up with meaningful interpretation is the only way to document the systematic study to be further utilised by the scientific community and industry.

In my experience, communication is important in geology teams. We handle a lot of data and findings, so it's important to express ideas clearly and respectfully. Whether it's talking with colleagues or presenting to clients, being able to share information effectively is key. I've learned that listening well and giving helpful feedback also make a big difference in how smoothly our team works together. Sometimes, you have a foundation of knowledge but have to cede the floor to someone with more experience/knowledge. This frees you up to examine the holes in your knowledge and examine what new information you can integrate into the teams work. It takes creativity and mastery over one's ego, but trusting your team to cover the rest and support the overall goal is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and add to the overall goal. This attitude is a win-win and one I highly recommend.
