The last time I negotiated my salary months back I followed the following scheme 1) I identified what is the market average for the skills needed for a product manager in the home appliance industry 2) I did a self assessment around the main skills that was identified in the first point 3) I created achievement board linked to each main skill 4) I collected 360 feedback from my previous mentors and managers on my current skill level 5) I added educational levels that I have attained that are more relevant to this new role 6) I added key unique propositions related to me that distinguish me from others in the industry like having R&D background and coming from engineering background that allows m faster integration with development teams
