10 years ago, I was laid off from a Senior leadership position with one of the worlds largest CE companies. It became apparent to me that it was going to be extremely difficult to find the same role again, in the same industry. But the skills I’d learned, the leadership credentials, and the strategic perspective from working in that role allowed me move to a completely different industry where I enjoyed 6 further years of success, both personal and professional. That company saw what I couldn’t , when I was still networking within my old channel; that I had the experience & drive to be successful in their space. They took a chance on me, and I spent six great years with them. Lesson;hire the Right person, and they’ll learn your business.
