Start by reflecting on your genuine aspirations. Are you doing this to satisfy your ego by being seen as a CEO, or is there a deeper motivation? It's natural to want recognition, but true fulfillment comes from aligning your ambitions with a meaningful purpose. Consider having a role model to inspire and guide you. A role model can provide valuable insights and help you navigate challenges. Within five years, aim to be as successful as them or to make a meaningful contribution to society. You don't need to have everything figured out— it's okay to be uncertain about the future.

In five years, I envision myself taking on a leadership role where I can leverage my skills and experiences to make a significant impact. First, you need to have an honest conversation with yourself. Sometimes we just think it is 5 years for my business, but no, it is 5 years that feel like 10 for you and the one's that are close to you. So maximize the question that you are going to make to yourself. ¿Are you going to reach 5 million ARR in 5 years while in the day 5 years and one day you die from a heart attack? Entreprenuirship is 24/7 job, so maximize your estrategy in every aspect of your life. Visualize a goal that reach the heart of a possible costumer or investor. 5 years to change X or Y. not just to bill X amount of money. People that have already done it are finding themselfs empy if they only think in money and capabilities of their teams. Be better.

If you are really passionate about the startup and what it does, aligning yourself with the goals of the startup is a good start, but don't stop there, build more trust by sharing your personal aspirations as well. Otherwise it will sound as if you were only telling what the person in front of you wants to hear.

To me this is where LATAM founders or emerging markets founders have the most problems. The goal for a lot of StartUps is to be an Unicorn, most cases are really a misconception but let's say it is not. Mos't founders haven't even seen a contract for over 10 Million dollars, ¿so how are you going to be valuated in 1 Billion? Be real, have coherence and authenticity between your market, your market growth YoY and your experience capability and ability to bring great players to the team in your roadmap. Focus on one nich is going to be the biggest green flag to making yourself, your pitch and your roadmap accord to greater objectives. One city, then one country, then other, focus your efforts

Learning is the real super power of StartUps. The quickness of it and the amount of pain (monetary) to learn those things are what guarantees that StartUp exits and are adquired. The learning experience over the costumer and their issue is the key to maximize the solution and improve the proposition of value. The learning is not changing product and that's it. It reflects directly on the amount of clients and contracts, it is not just in the "oh we changed this color" it is on real revenue maximization. When you explain these path is what makes us "Investors" really interested in your resilience

Showing how you plan to learn is good, and the most valuable thing a person can show me is his thought process and reflections, compared to only courses for example. Show how you have learned till now from different situations and I can believe you for future instances.

Being adaptable means to be also proactive, because when you change roles you need to learn. If you invest in your attitude to become more proactive, your ability to adapt will also be influenced positively.
