One of the most common themes is that everything is important and everything is late. For that, you have to determine and assign rankings. One metric I use is the determination of the activity with the highest value added. Now that value added can be hedging a risk, enablement of progress, cost savings, or anything else. When you manage to isolate the highest value added activities, then you can use the Eisenhower matrix or similar to determine the sequence of the activities. I generally recommend to narrow your list down to 4 before you even use the matrix. If you cannot do that, then you are still thinking too broadly.

You have to have a relationship with your customers. There will always be good days and bad days but be honest and work through the bad days together. If its your fault, hold your hands up and explain the process you have put in place to rectify the problem/problems asap. You really do not manage time. You manage yourself and your discipline to achieving your goals. This means dedicating the time to actually get your work done, the ability to say no, delegate and push back distractions. There is no single right way to do this. I personally use calendar slots more than anything. I know others who use to do lists and some who just use tick marks. Find out what works for you and stick to it.

All points mentioned above are relevant. But pressure came only when your preparation was not complete enough considering the risk factors before starting the process or intermediate evaluation and mid term corrections are not effectively done. Only way to come back to the schedule is arranging and properly using more resources. Pressure will not bring required results. Reducing the pressure and being more productive is the solution. Never keep promotion as a target. It should be the byproduct of your results
