In my later career I wholeheartedly plan to make a form of career switch. It's nothing on the industry, but it feels like something I just need to do to fulfil my professional career. It could be marketing, brand management or anything similar, but I've made that decision (for now) based on the fact I've been able to freelance for the last year or so. Being a freelancer has let me see that my skills are transferrable but also that I have a passion for working on brands/projects that mean something to me. Every time I have a toss up between freelance contracts now, I choose the one I care about more before I choose the higher salary to set my future up.
