The topic remains a contentious issue and a significant challenge for many leaders. Often, we overlook that small misunderstandings, which can escalate into major conflicts, often stem from everyone having different perceptions of certain things. For example, if you ask 10 people about their concept of leadership, you'll likely receive 10 different answers. This is where diversity comes into play. It becomes even more demanding when cultural differences are also involved. As a German in Arabia, it took me years to understand the secrets of these differences, as they are rarely apparent and sometimes governed by unwritten rules. As a leader, it is paramount to deal with these differences to boost teams' psychological safety and performance.
