Yes, there are fabulous exceptions, as with everything. But.. there is a flip side to the coin. In unregulated subjects it's too simple to declare yourself a business analyst (or a project manager). No one declares themselves an "engineer" if they are not. People without certification, or at least related basic courses, too often speak "guru-like" and if you know the topic you can easily understand that they are full of gaps. To fight the phenomenon... I continue to believe in the value of a structured training as a preparatory ground where experience, self-learning and passion can be sedimented.
