I don't think there's a struggle nor challenge for Operations Research professionals to adapt to remote work or tech spaces as they are inherently tech-savvy, their role requires proficiency in advanced analytical tools and large software tools. However, the focus should be on regular operations personnel, who might not fully grasp the significance of embracing technology. For them, adopting tech skills is paramount for growth and reducing redundancy. Encouraging these individuals to leverage technological tools can streamline processes, enhance productivity, and foster a more innovative and adaptive work environment. By bridging this gap, organizations can ensure comprehensive growth and efficiency across all departments.

The easiest way not to be remotely successful is failure to prioritize your work over home chores. A set block of scheduled hours defines for family and friends your unavailability. Once those parameters have been established, respect for your position will become defined for all to respectfully observe. My personal experience with employees has demonstrated this. Preemptive barriers can prevent future complications with respect to clearly delineating your remote hours.
