One of the best strategy for increase parental involvement is giving them opportunities according to their area of expertise. For example, a parent who works in medical field can give workshop on Health and safety to students and other parents. A parent working in technical field can provide awareness session on Cyber bullying. Knowing the expertise of parents and inviting them to appropriate activities will definitely enhance their involvement.

This is an interesting point. We discovered that parents in the high school did not attend meetings as they could not make them straight after school, so we therefore moved them to be later in the evening, and had a much increased uptake.
