In three words: Data Input Sanitation. I have often found it helpful to force good input, no free-form nightmare input. Use both client validation and server validation. XSS is an issue, so is SQL injection. I started to write down all the things not to do, but the list got really long. Get peer review, hopefully you are not surrounded by ignorance. Gordon R. (Chef), walks into a restaurant, complains to the cook the food is terrible. Every other cook who has tasted the food agrees its very good. Arghhh!!!! Donkey.. no its not! Some people do not have tastebuds. Get good peer review, from someone that actually has professional experience in building apps like yours. This can potentially make your validation/app better.

I can say a lot about this subject. Store it in a database, you don't even need a UI for it, but you definitely need to save it. First rule: KISS, unless you have a giant ego. If the latter is true, make it like a little prison you love to visit and wander around in. Absolutely add a column for a datetime stamp so you know when it happened. Do Not Include Non-errors, success or info! It seems reasonable, but the database based on the amount of users can grow unmanageable very very fast. If you plan to do this, remember the sign on the pool you used to swim in as a kid "Swim at your own risk". You can probably list several fields you would like to have, based on how you debug/research the error.
