It does take a significant time to document everything. In our experience, a PPAP could take up to a couple of days after the first-off production. It was the sole responsibility of our Quality Engineering Co-Ops to operate the measurements, data collection, records, and also locating, storing, segregating. If you don't have a dedicated PPAP team, it may disrupt your regular operations.

Uma equipe despreparada e/ou insuficiente, bem como indisponibilidade de recursos para realização de testes, protótipos, ferramentais, etc é um gargalo importante a se considerar. E aqui também há a influência da cultura organizacional, pois onde a cultura da qualidade não é alimentada, teremos PPAPs para atender a uma solicitação do cliente apenas e não para contribuir na estruturação do processo.

Level 3 - PSW with Product Samples and Limited Supporting Data: Expands to include limited supporting data like process capabilities. Level 4 - PSW with Full Supporting Data: Comprehensive submission with all necessary documentation, including control plans and inspection results. Level 5 - PSW with Full Supporting Data and Customer Warrant: The highest level, featuring customer approval alongside detailed supporting data.

Always make sure that sub-component were as well properly released by your supplier. This can be done by checking or requesting evidence on completion (e.g. PSW of sub-component, or review of full documentation during an on-site visit at your supplier premises)
