PR is an interesting field because so many of us (myself included) did not go to school for it or it wasn't our intended career path. But if you're a natural networker, can identify and empathically meet other people's needs, don't mind an inordinate amount of rejection, don't need constant praise, thrive in crisis and above all love connecting dots others don't see. Well, then you'll be great in this job. Experience matters but results matter more. If you can demonstrate results, you'll move up quickly.

Mu undergraduate degree was in communications. I knew from a very early age that a career in public relations was for me. But the best experience is listening and observing.
