In terms of climate change action, it has to be done through partnerships. The enormity, complexity and cost of climate adaptation means that assemblages of people and organisations have to work together to get somewhere. And the key here is diversity, to deal with the multidisciplinary and multisectoral challenges.

The problems we are currently facing are complex by nature and require a systematic approach to tackle them. Systems thinking is essential and can only work when all the relevant stakeholders are mapped to avoid unintended harm while maximizing the positive outcomes. This is only possible when all the relevant stakeholders partner up.
