In terms of the boundaries, this is essential that there is no confusion around what is included and what is excluded. Getting this wrong will bite you later on down the line in the project.

During a complex assignment, I generally account for a vision building session, where I work with stakeholders to define the objectives and goals of the programs. Once aligned we have a 2 week session on scope definition with the same stakeholders. This approach has assisted in defining a scope aligned with business objectives.

Use automation and project management tools. The amount of work has increased. We need to ensure we connect our processes of reporting, status updates, linking of registers, etc to the tool. This way if let's say one consultant updates a status it will automatically ping their supervisor or line authority on their device to have a check. If the update is positive, it would only ping to have a review, and no action is needed. Cultivate the habit of templates for emails so that the content is pretty ease to read and everyone in the firm would understand where to look for in an email as opposed to huge story writing which could be tiresome.
