What are the best books or resources to learn about founder-market fit?

As a founder, during the early days of your startup, do things that don't scale. This would help you know if you're really passionate about the idea or it's something your don't want to work on for the longest.

"The Lean Startup" is like a friendly guide for those starting their own business adventure. Just as players check guides for game tips, this book helps founders understand the idea of matching themselves with the market they want to serve. It's a bit like having a plan in business; the book encourages founders to try out their ideas, learn from feedback, and adjust, just like players changing their strategies based on game experiences. It's a go-to resource for startup explorers, assisting them in figuring out their unique fit.

The Lean Startup was a great book to read. I first read it when I was still with a startup. The mindset of testing and iterating was paradigm shifting for me. A lot of the concepts are still used today to me when I evaluate startups on their development roadmap, specifically. Most people assume that being lean and agile just applies to software startups but as more and more hardware and deeptech innovations arise, many of The Lean Startups concepts can be adopted to de-risk a traditionally waterfall-based verticals. The ability and agility to iterate and improve are what differentiate a science R&D project from a lean startup.

Personally, I learned a lot from "Superfounders" by Ali Tamaseb. It does an excellent job of looking at what qualities led to founders being successful in their ventures.

Great book. Interesting insights. If you are a founder, read it. But it is not the nuts and bolts "how to" for product-market fit that Lean Startup or the Startup Owners Manual are.
