2 R&D challenges

R&D is a key technology for advancing space exploration and utilization in the future, such as enabling the establishment and operation of lunar and Mars bases, transferring crew and cargo between different orbits and surfaces, extending the lifetime and functionality of satellites, providing repairs, upgrades, refueling, or relocation of defunct or hazardous satellites, and developing and operating commercial space stations. Additionally, R&D will enable private citizens and companies to access and participate in space activities like suborbital flights, orbital flights, and lunar trips.
