I create a comprehensive business plan outlining my goals, strategies, and financial projections. Securing necessary resources and funding, I take calculated risks and launch my venture. Fear keeps us from doing the exploration work needed on the front end. We leave our jobs because we decide it was the voice of God telling us to do so, then we can't properly capitalize the business. I met a business at large pitch event recently who has a very compelling product. He was wearing a t-shirt that included his business logo. I assumed it was a to because of the logo's cartoonish design. Later when he began to demonstrate a very sophisticated technology, I realized his brand identity in no way coincided with his product story.
