Among the modern ones, I prefer Jira and Kanban boards alongside matrices of priorities, especially when fast decisions are needed.

Collaborative teamwork is an essential part of project execution and planning. One of the modern methods for improving and establishing team collaboration is Agile, especially its tool of "sprints" - short periods with set tasks and meetings afterward to discuss achieved results. This approach is effective in the construction and civil engineering industry as well.

Review available resources thoroughly, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure optimal utilization and allocation. Understanding resource constraints and capacities enables efficient planning, mitigates bottlenecks, and facilitates timely project execution, maximizing productivity and minimizing waste in construction projects.

Conduct a comprehensive analysis of potential risks and uncertainties associated with the construction project. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks proactively minimizes disruptions, prevents costly delays, and safeguards project success. Prioritizing risk management in planning fosters resilience and ensures smoother project execution, even in unpredictable environments.

Some project managers refuse to apply modern tools and methods for planning and necessary adjustments to boost the project. Actually it is up to the individual. If the manager achieves results with traditional methods, there is no need to implement something new. The first attempts with it might not go well. However, sometimes supervisors, inspired by the fast successes of other teams or companies, insists on using their methods, which can differ significantly. In such cases, supervisors must be persuaded by facts, that the project can be delivered without need to change the approach halfway through.
