No PDCA, cada uma das ações tem sua importância. Fazer e Checar (Do e Check) são peças fundamentais no processo de melhoria contínua. É necessário executar as ações planejadas e verificar os frutos da mesma, de maneira a utilizar as informações para traçar novas rotas para resolução de problemas/melhoria contínua. O lider deve tomar a frente na avaliação dos impactos das ações tomadas nos projetos, buscando atingir as metas estipuladas na etapa de planejamento do projeto.

Independente do resultado tido com a implementação da inovação, é necessário documentar o aprendizado, isso é uma das melhores formas para revisar o que foi feito, apreciar de forma diferenciada o trabalho e já organizar ideias para que seja corrigido o curso da implementação, ou até mesmo aprimodado.

Na minha experiência, é fundamental para que a implementação da inovação seja concretizada que esta seja revisada e seja sempre avaliado as possibilidades de melhoria nas mesmas. Mas principalmente, é necessário que na cultura de inovação em uma corporação não haja a inovação pela inovação e sim que esta seja com propósito e tenha uma visão bem definida dos objetivos a serem atingidos.

Are 'Creativity' & 'Innovation' - learnable skills or in-borne ones? If learnable - where were we taught? Appreciate that it is ONLY the BRAIN that is responsible for ideation. Also realise that the output improves only when the input is more 'brain-friendly'. Leaders are at that position - for a reason. Guiding them, making them aware of the fact that by just a minor tweak - the output increases tremendously - they could be willing to modify their own approach & mindset - which could be a starting point..

The question does not specify 'your' position in the organization. If you are THE top leader, then: * You can upgrade the knowledge and skills of the rest of the leadership through training regarding innovation. * You can include innovation as part of the organization culture, hammering in the message loud and clear. * You can get the HR and Organizational Development team to plan interventions that would help create the culture and develop the required skills. If you are way below the leadership, then you can just walk away and find an organization with a reputation for innovation to work with. It is quite unlikely to convince such a leadership, unless there are other aspects of the culture that encourage new ideas from all levels.
