It is essential to gain a solid basic understanding of the technology and terminology such as AI, ML, and High-Performance Computing(HPC). Chatbots will become an essential feature in a product design and service experience. Quantum Computing is another emerging technology with massive potential in HPC and AI / ML applications such as healthcare, gaming, and many other industries. It also will drastically change the cloud security landscape and encryption standards.

Value Stream Management is the space to watch here, as it not only ties together all the functions, roles, practices and date for end-to-end value delivery, but it explicitly connects efforts to customer outcomes in a way that matters to business. I won't say ignore DevSecOps, but if you care about the big picture, there's a truly powerful field in the digital space emerging.

However, technical leaders must be aware of the challenges of scalability, security, and interoperability when designing, developing, and deploying edge computing and IoT solutions.
