In my experience of having served in non profits for over 15 years and having interacted with many institutional and private foundation donors, It is human nature to support the well being of humanity, despite not getting any material benefits! in return. Charity organizations complement government efforts in services provision, especially in thematic areas of health, governance, WASH and economic outcomes. Yes, Donors are human after all!

For me, it’s actually seeing what I give make a difference. For 4 weeks before Christmas I tried to find ways to help local homelessness charities with my time, donations of warm clothes etc but all they were interested in was money……? I will now never give money to any charity again
