Consider the total cost of ownership over the vehicle's lifespan, factoring in not just the purchase price but also fuel costs, maintenance, insurance, tax incentives, and potential resale value. Assess how the PHEV performs in various climate conditions. Extreme temperatures can affect the vehicle's electric range and efficiency, so understanding its performance in your local climate is essential. Most often new PHEV owners tend to neglect the impact that the climate has on the expected range out of your vehicle. Additionally, always research the availability of government incentives, tax credits, or rebates for purchasing a PHEV.
