The key topic is that Suppliers and Customers are Business Partners. Anything that might impact to the supplier or to the customer, should be communicated on time and discussed with the main goal of making things happen. Customers needs to understand all the changes that will impact to the suppliers and how. And on the other hand the Suppliers needs to understand that changes are part of the business, and the ones that better adapt to changes are the ones that are more reliable. Once we get this, keeping in constant communication is the way of facing needs and expectations more effectively

One of the most common challenges in vendor relations is dealing with changing needs and expectations from both your organization and your vendors. For example, you may face shifts in demand, specifications, deadlines, budgets, or quality standards that affect your vendor agreements and deliverables

Always understand what is your customer needs, then make detail alignment with your vendors. while doing that, sometimes the challenge is how to make this alignment because some vendors surely have different level point of view compare to us. The art is how to empathize and understandings thinking way of each party. So we can make balance and productive decisions

Being respectful is where you start from. Understanding their working hours and holidays makes a big difference. For example, Japan has a serious work culture, with fewer holidays and longer workdays. To be considerate, avoid calling on holidays, building better relationships. Similarly, in different time zones, schedule emails for their office hours to avoid after-work notifications. This shows respect for their time. We might think vendors wouldn't mind, but just like us, they appreciate respect for their time and space.

To whom and in what capacity does this policy apply? are there any limitations or exceptions to its applications? 3. Determine the policy statement by considering the above aspects on purpose and scope. Include all the specific actions necessary to commit to regulatory compliance. 5. Include all the procedures in place for the same. 6. One thing i've found helpfull is to make daily and hourly task monitoring. Especially for new projects, many things to consider and to keep the quality standards. New vendors usually need our assistant to help their alignment in understanding our quality standard. I believe that best quality comes from best processes. That is way, in the development phase, we should never move our attention away from the process that currently happen in our vendor. In my experience, many things can be improved! We need to come, see and monitor their daily even hourly processes. From that activity, then we can suggest chance for improvements, to help they align fast with stake holder's target.

The best strategy to measure, and provide and receive feedback is trough's a Supplier ScoreCard process. If it is a good ScoreCard process, it will not only be measuring to the suppliers, but also to the customer itself. So it is important to give feedback to the suppliers, but also to have a process to solve when a feedback is received. Remember it is not Supplier-Customer relationship but a Business Partner Relationship

Regarding Vendor or Customer Relationship and Loyalty. In my experience, many things that usually becoming our mainstream method in selling products is actually not the main requirement for our customers. Customers i talk about here, is not only users that is using our products, but also stake holders, our superior or even our peers and our sales team. The idea is not making them buying our products or using our idea, but to help them make best decision in each process. If the big picture of target and vision is clear, then the only right thing to do is everybody make best decision in the processes. Therefore all target and stake holder expectations can be achieved.
