A few years ago while working with a hotel client to help transition an existing Ops manager into a GM role and restructure their teams across all departments, through informal chats we found a good percentage of people wanted to change departments and try new roles but felt it would not be possible, after some strategic planning we managed to facilitate and coordinate moves for anyone who desired one and what we found was a under performing team with a new lease of life. Its hugely important to remember we are all constantly evolving and growing as people and love new challenges and sometimes make a move to a new organization just out of desperation for something new and exciting in our lives.
