You don't miss deadlines over night? So communicate upwards throughout, knowing and sharing the Why of a potential deadline miss and have a plan you can communicate that gets you back on timeline. A big bug of senior stakeholders is when the communication is not coming freely because the individuals don't even know they're going to miss let alone know the why. The number of managers that put themselves in a pull teeth moment, that can damage trust and personal brand
