I manage a team that works fully remotely from different parts of the world. While there are benefits like working from anywhere in the world and working from your comfort zone, there is also a feeling of disassociation or loneliness, due to missing office culture and friends like colleagues with whom you enjoy coffee breaks. What I, as a team leader, do is have regular meetings every week where we share our progress, concerns, journey, goals, habits, etc. and appreciate and help each other accordingly. We also have one separate group chat on whatsapp only for sharing memes, jokes, or casual talks and no work-related conversations. I realized this approach fosters a feeling of belonging and builds motivation
