Discounted materials are the common signals from the manufacturer that the product has some reducable properties or characteristics by which affecting the quality and safety.

En algunas ocasiones un bajo costo de materiales no necesariamente se trata de mala calidad, tenemos esa costumbre de relacionar un costo excesivo con buena calidad. Definitivamente el bajo costo de un material te puede hacer dudar, aquí te corresponde validar las propiedades físicas, químicas y mecánicas contra un estándar internacional. En mi experiencia muchas ocasiones he recurrido a evaluar materiales por otras razones como falta de disponibilidad en el mercado y me he llevado gratas sorpresas con materiales que excedente por mucho a la marca líder y que tienen un menor costo, pero hay que tener mucho cuidado ya que también existen materiales que no cumplen en nada una especificación.

Rule of thumb I'd ask the manufacturer to test in a 3rd party accredited lab. depending on the results, I may take a blind sample to another lab that I trust (depending on the cost of testing), if the material is rejected, the cost of testing is on the manufacturer and the deal is off. I may also ask the manufacturer to be supervise the application and issue duly certificate.

Ensuring structural integrity starts with thorough supplier vetting. Conduct comprehensive background checks on suppliers to verify their reputation, quality control processes, and compliance with industry standards. Request samples and certifications, and review their track record with other clients. Visiting the supplier's manufacturing facilities can provide insights into their production processes and quality assurance practices. Applying sound engineering judgment is critical when faced with discounted materials. Evaluate the materials' specifications against the project's requirements and safety codes. If the materials do not meet the rigorous standards, consider rejecting them despite the cost savings, as compromising on safety can lead to significant long-term risks and liabilities. Por su puesto es parte del trabajo de una construcción, integrar debidamente un dosier de calidad, la integración va de la mano con la revisión minuciosa de cada certificado de calidad comparándolo con la especificación que debe cumplir.

El monitoreo lo debes hacer si o si, no sólo con materiales de bajo costo esto se debe validar con todos y se debe realizar antes, durante y después de la construcción de cualquier estructura
