I’m not sure being a “peacekeeper” is always the right way. Sometimes, people will be frustrated with choices. Being open and transparent about why you made those choices, and seeking out ways to help someone improve is much better. Work with your team to ensure opportunities are given to all, play to people strengths, help others develop weaknesses, give exposure to new projects. Don’t just try and be nice and hope it all works out (it won’t).

I would demonstrate that each of us has abilities that, when combined, are more effective than them alone. Talking about synergy in my team helps me resolve problems of understanding. If the allocation of resources is done objectively and reasoned, the team will end up understanding and trusting. There should always be "positive" feedback after the completion of the project.
