First of all, as the team leader, do not expect your team member to be "superhero". To excel in all areas in a vague statement and almost impossible task. My personal approach is: 1. Evaluate the job profile. Is the job too complex for a single person? Are you having a junior person fulfilling a more senior/complex job profile due to various reasons? 2. Evaluate the team member and team strengths (and weakness). Remember, you do not need to strengthen everyone's weakness. You need to be aware of individual and team's weakness to form the best team for the job. 3. Create a joint plan with the individual including training/career progression. You cannot help someone unless they want to be helped.

First thing that we need to do as Leader is to Identify specific strengths and weaknesses by Conducting a thorough assessment of the areas where they excel and those where improvement is needed. Provide concrete examples of both, so they understand exactly what they need to work on. Make sure the team member understands the performance standards for each area of their job. Clarify any expectations that might have been unclear, and ensure they know what success looks like. By being supportive, setting clear expectations, and providing the necessary resources, you can help your team member improve their performance across the board.
