One of the ways to make sure to incorporate user feedback effectively while keeping the artistic integrity is through A/B testing. You can present two versions to different user groups to see the effectiveness of a certain feature to learn which direction your AR content should lean into.

Trust. You must develop that from the start so clients feel comfortable through the development process. Always show openness and listen to their ideas and feedback. Remember they know their brands and categories better than most.
In response, articulate clearly why you think something will or won't work. I recommend you lean into your expertise, show existing examples to support your pushback or develop simple mock-ups with motion to demonstrate potential outcomes and articulate your point. This is often the quickest way to show different directions to the feedback and normally helps us move forward.

Balancing user input with creative vision in AR requires a careful blend of flexibility and commitment to your artistic goals. Start by treating user feedback as a tool to enhance, not dictate, your creative direction. Look for insights that align with your overall vision, using them to fine-tune and elevate your work. It’s important to distinguish between feedback that addresses usability or clarity and suggestions that might compromise the artistic essence of the project. By integrating practical improvements while staying true to your core vision, you create AR content that resonates with users without losing its creative integrity.
