To do that, we get our data and break it, could be only on training and testing.. or maybe having validation too. (we separate the data in pieces). So we can train, validate and test it. The data used to train, must not be used to test too (as this would not make sense) so be sure to correctly separate it - or you will get lost with your metrics and your model will probably not make sense.
