While working in Transition Coaching space, here's the typical cycle; shock, disbelief, anger, acceptance and planning. It's best to come out of first 3-4 steps, asap. Make a day routine. Next step is rediscover your focus. Think harder about your remaining career and what are your strengths. Add new skills, network shamelessly, rework on your resume and LinkedIn profile. First get an offer, even if it's not the best, to get back the confidence.Use AI for tips to crack interviews.

First drop the ego of what you were, face the new reality. Understand what's the reality today in terms of jobs and salaries. Avoid aspiring to get into higher role after being impacted and otherwise also, better change company when you get promotion. Use this opportunity to realign your career vision and chalk out the new ways to progress. Upskill as much as you can.

The two things I would add to enhance personal branding, to enhance your job search are: 1. Develop a consistent narrative: Write a gripping narrative connecting your aspirations, knowledge, and experiences. This story should be constant across all media and resources, thereby enabling a coherent and unforgettable personal brand. 2. Optimize your online presence: Outside LinkedIn, think about building or upgrading profiles on professional networking sites, industry-specific platforms, or even a personal website. Make sure your web presence reflects your own brand and benefits your target market.

When a client starts a career coaching program with me, after explaining the initial aspects of the program, I try to understand how this professional is doing, what they are feeling. From there, we begin to build their personal brand. Often, it is also necessary to support and strengthen them, recalling past achievements to reconstruct their personal narrative. This process may not happen quickly, but with care and attention, this profile is gradually built.

Personal branding might seem like a buzzword, but think of it as shaping how people talk about you when you're not in the room. It's about articulating your unique value and strengths consistently across all platforms. When you know your strengths, weaknesses, and how others describe you, work with your coach to distill your value statement. For example, "I help X to do Y." I challenge you to ask three colleagues or mentors for feedback on how they perceive your professional brand and use their insights to enhance your branding strategy. Building a strong personal brand is crucial, but here are some mistakes to avoid: Getting Away from Your Truth: Be authentic. Don’t create a false perception of who you are or try to “fake it till you make it.” Using a Logo Instead of Your Face: Your face is your icon when building a personal brand. Use it consistently. Not Telling a Compelling Story: Share stories that trigger emotions and connect with your audience. Not Knowing Your Target Audience: Define your niche clearly; don’t try to appeal to everyone. Preaching Without Street Cred: Focus on value rather than just preaching. Blindly Copying Someone: Take inspiration, but don’t copy blindly. Not Producing Valuable Content: Quantity matters as much as quality today.

Personal branding can't be bypassed in Executive Career Transition. This executive presence is all about letting your audience know you better and consequently wanting to engage in conversations with you. Personal branding blends online and offline and is indeed your fastback to the right networking and your most efficient way to be visible, searchable and present.

Networking paves the way to your career transition and job search yet only the right networking does. So what is a correct networking? It is precisely a meaningful conversation with a decision maker, a future potential boss, am HR professional who decides in TA or anyone who efficiently brings you closer to them. Anything networking outside this scope is unfortunately an unnecessary detour or even worse a dead end.

In my experience, expanding our networks goes beyond professional connections, it intertwines with a Spiritual Journey of “Interconnectedness”. Each connection acts as a thread weaving through the fabric of our lives, creating a tapestry of shared experiences and growth. Navigating “Networking” Intentionally and Authentically not only opens doors to opportunities but also invites diverse perspectives and wisdom that enhance our Spiritual Intelligence. Networking is more than just expanding circles,it's also about fostering meaningful connections that align with our purpose and resonate with our “Souls”.

The concept of mock interview is obsolete and so is practicing the "common" questions of a job interview. A job interview isn't an exam. As an executive coach, I prep my clients for conversations regardless of what question will pop up. Here are 6 top tips on what it takes to lean into your best version before and during a job interview 1- Owning your top three achievements and who you are 2- Being aligned with your top 3 values and life purpose 3- Researching the organization, the competition, the industry trend but also the interviewer 4-Asking the right questions seeking clarity as it is meant to be a two way conversation 5-Being clear on what you're not expert at in the Job description 5- Showcasing Relevance and added Value.

Do three things: 1. Have a point of view on the big stuff: their business and the category: be able to define the conventions and assumptions of the category (what I call the conventional theory of value) and have point of view on how it is changing, why and the role they could play. 2. In the small: the specifics of the role and how you have done it before. 3. Prepare to answer the questions you don't want them to ask you - its a short cut to confidence.

Interviews can be challenging, but executive coaching can help you approach them with confidence. All skilled professionals must learn to use AI and master the behaviour interviews. A lot of my clients are able to clear the functional interview, however, get stuck at the behaviour interviews. This is so important for specifically IT professionals as they have a comparatively less exposure to behaviour situations.

If the coach is modern, up-to-date, and has depth, they will help you package, pivot, and position yourself to accelerate your next opportunity. They will help you identify the lessons from your last role, dust yourself off, and empower you to take the reins and get into gear. "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill talked about packaging your wisdom—without the right packaging and positioning, your influence will not be as effective. And if you look good on paper but sound unsure when discussing yourself, you've missed an opportunity. A good executive coach can help you practice your messaging and build confidence with clarity in your message.

Finally, your executive coach will assist you in crafting an action plan with clear, achievable steps. This plan will involve setting realistic job search goals, monitoring your progress, and adjusting strategies as needed. With a structured plan, you'll have a roadmap to keep you focused and motivated throughout your job search. Your coach will provide support, accountability, and encouragement every step of the way, ensuring you stay on track and make steady progress toward your career goals.

Según mi experiencia hay que partir aceptando la situación de salida. Todo sucede para aprender algo y para cambiar, así que es mejor concentrarse en: qué quiero hacer? en qué soy bueno? dónde quiero aplicar lo que puedo hacer? estoy suficientemente preparado para ese cambio? y si no: qué espero para formarme pronto y ser nuevamente competitivo?. Qué aprendí con lo sucedido? y en qué me siento fortalecido/a. Lo que sé, es que todo cambio ha sido un aprendizaje y crecimiento positivo. Hay que soltar y fluir con los cambios y no quedarse en el lamento o la culpa (hacia otros o hacia sí mismo), mientra haya vida hay oportunidades...solo hay que tener un plan claro, hacer la pausa para diseñarlo y actuar !.
