A method I have used effectively a few times on a team to think out of the box and infuse new ideas in a project for a great result needs a basic staged plan. Then the team puts the focus on the final deliverables and uses a root cause analysis IN REVERSE to work back to a set of variable inputs. One aspect I have found helpful is to Be the example. Show them you wouldn't ask them to do something you wouldn't do yourself. This shows them you are in this task and/or project With them instead of a taskmaster. I have found people appreciate the leader coming alongside of them versus acting as if certain tasks are beneath them since they are in a position of leadership.
