Understanding stakeholders' needs and expectations is the bedrock of strong relationships because it fosters trust, collaboration, and mutual satisfaction. By actively listening to stakeholders and engaging with them regularly, you can accurately identify their priorities and concerns. This insight allows you to tailor your communication and project plans to align with their interests, ensuring they feel valued and heard. Meeting or exceeding their expectations strengthens your credibility and builds a foundation of support, which is crucial for the success of any project or initiative. Ultimately, this understanding leads to more effective and harmonious partnerships.

First step is to identify Major Stakeholders: • Project Sponsors • Customer • Team which executes the project • Vendors Step two is to identify the needs of each stakeholder, like: • Project Sponsors would like to get the project completed within agreed timeline & Budget • Customer would be more focused to get all their requirements closed • The team would expect challenging & rewarding projects with good work life balance. • Vendors would be more interested in getting their dues honored in time and the next set of requirements to be fulfilled. Step three is to proactively act and continuously engage to fulfill the needs of the stake holders and by doing this one can builds strong relationship with all stakeholders.

- Know Your Audience: Identify all stakeholders – individuals or groups impacted by your project. - Power Players & Keen Observers: Categorize them based on influence and interest in the project. - Early Engagement is Key: Engage them early to understand their goals, limitations, and priorities.

There is a positive shift in the mindset of the people and the colleagues/leaders who believe in the power of the team work, appreciates open dialogue among the group. Having an open conversation not only provide clarity on the goal but also an enabler to setting expectations. Additionally, it open doors to many more opportunities that one might not have thought of. To practice this skill at work, you can start initiating open ended conversations with your manager.

Como herramienta para mantener la comunicación abierta y fluida, usar un canal en algún software como MS Teams permite ✨ Compartir todos los archivos correspondientes al proyecto ✨ Hacer anuncios ✨ Chat instántaneo ✨ Conectar con otras herramientas como Planner, Loop, SharePoint, etc. Con la finalidad de poder mantener informadas a las partes interesadas. The goal is to ensure that the expectations identified are realistic and are feasible in order to avoid disappointments on the part of any stakeholder. Moreover, this approach could also aid in addressing future issues that could distract from the overall goal being achieved. By managing expectations and communicating early and often, this will allow for a healthy relationship to be formed.

E muito importante gerenciar as expectativas tanto dos stakeholders quanto do time multidisciplinar. Para isso a comunicação objetiva e clara é super importante para gerenciar conflitos e crises. Alem de manter todos atualizados e em sintonia com o projetos e seus resultados esperados.

It is important to maintain transparent communication, identify clear goals and track the progress, and regularly update Client with the progress. One thing I have learnt is that - 'the client is always after information, even if the project is delayed, clear information on 'why are things happening like the way it is happening' is key in maintaining relationship. Address concerns promptly, seek their input, and demonstrate commitment to their interests. Building trust and ensuring mutual understanding are vital in sustaining positive, collaborative relationships.

Trust can be built by : 1. On time delivery without compromising the quality. 2. Update project progress on timely manner 3. Involve all the stake holders from the begining of the project. 4. Maintain absolute transparency about project progress and expectations. 5. Raise alaram early in case there are challenges and seek help from necessary stakeholders. 6. In case there is a delay in delivering any component ,communicate the same to the client well in advance and avoid giving last minute surprises.

Trust building may be the "most" important factor/requirement here as it will be the base of beginning the work. Trust can be maintained or gained over time in the following ways:- 1. Delivering what is promised 2. Following committed timelines 3. Not overcommitting 4. Doing quality work The trust built with stakeholders today, will return in support and other opportunities later in future.

A simple "thank you" is a good start, but to truly foster strong relationships, we need to go beyond generic expressions. Think about what makes each stakeholder unique. What are their motivations, aspirations, or individual contributions? Tailoring your appreciation to their specific needs and achievements shows that you genuinely value their involvement. A handwritten note, a personalized email, or a small gesture that reflects their interests can go a long way in demonstrating your sincere appreciation. Remember, genuine recognition is not just about acknowledging their efforts but also making them feel valued and respected as individuals.

Getting feedback from the stakeholders on the work done is a good idea as the stakeholders will also feel that their opinions are heard and any scope for improvement can be incorporated right away (if it's feasible). On top of that, repeated projects from the same stakeholder or from any aquiantances of them can also be expected if the quality of the work is also exceptional. To expand anywhere, always continuous improvement is neccessary.
