This information is a starting point to analyse what your attendees thought of your event and deep dive into the activity as well as movements attendees made at your event. You can see whether there is a pattern or trend that occurred as well as peak times when for example a particular seminar was popular. This important information can help you make changes to your next event.

Track who registers, attends, and even their demographics to see if you're reaching the right people. You can measure ticket sale trends, sponsorship contributions etc. You can use this data against the goals you set at the start of your planning process. One of your goals may have been to sell X amount of tickets and make X amount of ticket sales revenue. This financial analytics can help you measure this and strategies for areas of improvement to implement for the next event.

I use an Airtable form (within the same base as the client’s event plan) to collect pre-and-post-event data, so that we can use the data as a North Star when reviewing the event’s success and determining how to proceed in the future. You can use any tool, such as Typeform, Google Forms, or whatever software you currently use. Keeping it all within one space helps to not forget the critical data when you’re planning the following year/event.
