A story of a 3-4 legged stool is about stakeholders. Identify all stakeholders with a stool leg. Identify how each contributes to the overall mutual success of each stakeholder category. All legs, equal in length & importance to the stability of the stool. If any stakeholder is out of balance the entire stool fails & is out of control. The focus then is to ensure that each leg is labeled & categorized correctly, heard, understood, & appreciated. Spend time developing understanding, boundaries, goals, & roles of each stakeholder & leg of the stool. Complete an exercise for all stakeholders & their groups. Form cross-functional teams & present each leg part to the complete success of the whole. Build trust & understanding, Empathy=Win/Win!!!
