This has become something mandatory rather than optional in today's world. After covid, more people have pets than not, and I think that is an even higher number across renters. I am selling a property right now where nearly 80% of the tenants have a pet. They have great systems in place to protect and maintain the property, AND are generating a ton of revenue on 'pet rent' as well.

However, to curb issues like this, I usually do try my level best to keep my properties pet-friendly. When I say pet-friendly, I mean sofa sets which do not tear easily like leather or PVC. Personally I feel that more and more property management companies should be more pet friendly because it helps tremendously for an elderly person who might have been alone. Keep up the policy when it comes to pick up the dog mess promptly
